Pages 6 and 7 of the manual speak to how the NF-8301 is specially designed with two detection antennas which I had hoped would speed detection by showing the signal strength received by the X-axis and Y-axis. Inexplicably this feature does not exist AT ALL. What is going on? That's what makes this different from NF-826 for locating buried cables which I already own? I received transmitter with Hardware Version 2.0 / Software Version V1.1.4 and the receiver has Software Version V1.1.2 (Build Date Feb 5 2026). This is really upsetting.
The NF-8301 I received is not the new 2026 model as it does not have the X and Y dual antenna and has exactly the same hardware and software versions as my previous NF-8301. I chose to preorder the unit so that my new unit would be the upgraded model.
